The Womb of the Spirit: The Making of Sons
Definition of Terms
Womb:
- An organ in which the young of an animal is conceived until birth.
- A place where something is made or formed.
- Any cavity containing and enveloping something.
Before we go any further, we must take down these points.
- Man is the theatre through which God desires to display Himself. 1 Cor 3:16-17, 1 Cor 6:19
- Our life is a story God is telling from heaven. Colossians 3:3 (KJV) For ye are dead, your life is hidden with Christ in God.
- The womb of the spirit is where transformation takes place. This is what John 1:12 talks about.
- In the Scriptures, two striking scriptures can be seen below when it comes to sonship.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
John 1:12 (KJV)
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:14 (KJV)
A quick study of the scriptures above provides us with two things:
- A similarity is the word “sons of God”
- A contrast which is seen below
John 1:12
You have to receive him (Jesus). You will be given power. You are not yet a son, for you will become one if you go through the shaping and molding process. You will need an extra ability (power) to become, for the process of becoming is tough
Rom 8:14
You have the Holy Spirit already. You will be led. You are a son. You need to be blind to be led about. It’s this concept of going through the process I call “The womb of the spirit” in this article.
To be led, you have to be blind first. Blind to self, blind to lust, blind to ambition, blind to motivational teachings, blind to whatever that can inspire, drive you other than the Holy Ghost. Blind to all forms of security system you use as an insurance policy in the case following God does not support your body system. Until you are blind, you cannot be led. Until you are led you are not a son.
Meanwhile, believing provides you the potential and capacity to become. The Greek word for becoming as used in this scripture is (metaschizamato). It means to change from the inside out. This change is not by religion nor is it by principles. It is by passing through a process called the womb of the spirit. This is where all lust, greed, self, and flesh are. vices and everything that does not bring honor and glory to God dies a mortal death. Having passed this womb, you are now ready to become the sons of God. Meanwhile, you are not yet, you will now be led. The proof that you are blind to being led is that you are not ruled or controlled by the aforementioned.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:3, 5-6 (KJV)
From the above scriptures, we see a discussion between a man named Nicodemus who is also a Pharisee, and Jesus. This concept has been widely accepted and called the term “born again”. In this natural world, we know that for a child to be born, he must need to pass through a womb, either of his biological mother, surrogate mother, or an incubator.
It’s also a wide known accepted fact that the normal gestation period (time for a human to mature in the womb) is nine months. Now, all through these nine months, the fetus grows and develops in the womb or the incubator. He is fed, nourished, supported, and survives from the womb or incubator. But in this case, we are talking of a spiritual thing, so in the same way or vein, there is a womb of the spirit.
To further explain this, Jesus stated in verse 6 of John chapter 3 that, “he who is born of the flesh is flesh and of spirit is spirit”.
Dear reader, please do not be quick to think this as an esoteric or out-of-the-world theology. For Jesus, in John chapter 3 verse 12 says this concept is an earthly thing.
But wait a minute! If the normal period for a child in the womb is nine months, how long will it take in the womb of the spirit? We have a clue from the Scriptures to determine this.
- Jesus has to be made glorified. (John 7:39)
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
John 7:39 (KJV)
From the scripture above, we see that until Jesus has been glorified in your life, you can’t experience this personal revival.
- Jesus has to be made both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Personal revival will come when you have made Jesus both Lord and Christ over your life, business, family, business, finances, and so on.
- Jesus must have total dominion and authority. That is, Jesus must have the final say. Psalm 110:1-3 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make Thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou amid thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
You will experience personal revival when Jesus has taken his rightful place in your life, business, territory, family, and so on. This takes us to the next point of discovering who this Jesus is.
HOW DO I BEGIN THIS PROCESS?
- Be born again.
John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
You begin this process by accepting Jesus as stated above.
Kindly say these prayers to me.
- Lord Jesus, I come to you, I surrender myself to you.
- I acknowledge that you came to die for me.
- Have mercy upon me, by your blood wash me clean of my sins and sanctify me.
- Consecrate me Lord Jesus and send me your Holy Spirit.
- Grant unto me the power to live above sin and its addictions and to live a holy and righteous life
- Thank you, Jesus, amen.
- Get baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
- Get a bible and study materials. With this, you can read do personal study and you can join a bible study group.
- Develop a prayer life. You can also do this personally and you can join a prayer group.
- Begin a relationship with God by asking the Holy Spirit to become your friend.
- Commune with the Lord daily by talking with the Holy Spirit daily. This you can start by asking the Holy Spirit simple life questions.
- From this point of talking with the Holy Spirit, he will draw you in and begins to interact with you and from there a relationship is established which takes you to become sons.
GOD BLESS YOU
